Meet our Staff

Mrs. Crystal Alley Owner/Director

As the Owner and Director, she clearly has a passion for children. Her love for working with children started about 30 years ago when she would go to work with her mom at a child care center. While working as a teacher at another center she obtained an associate’s degree in respiratory therapy, after a year away from child care her passion for children won out and she came to work at Peoria Child Care as a floater, then filled the center’s need for a cook. While in this position she received her certificate of Mastery and was promoted to assistant director, with a dream to one day own her own center she obtained her associates in child development and was promoted to Director while still filling the position as the cook. Finally, in September 2021 after expressing an interest to take over the center from the previous owner upon his retirement, Jeff Campbell decided it was time to pass on the mission of Love to grow by to someone he knew would be able to fill those shoes. Crystal and Walter completed the purchase in April of 2022 and will continue shaping the minds and hearts of children for many years to come. She continues to get inspiration from the children’s daily hugs, I love you’s, and funny stories they tell about themselves and their families. Outside of the center Crystal enjoys going to the lake, camping, and spending time with her husband.

Mrs. Ashley School Age Teacher

Being in childcare for 20 years it is no surprise that her favorite age group is the school age kids. Her continued inspiration comes from seeing that light bulb come on and that she gets to help them learn and grow. Outside the center she enjoys spending time with family and going to the lake.

Mrs. Ajita 2's Teacher

2’s is Ajita’s favorite age group so it is only fitting that she is one of our 2’s teachers. She has been in child care for 20 years, during which she has obtained her Certificate of Mastery & Director certificate of completion. She is continually inspired watching the children grow, reaching new milestones, and one of her favorite things is seeing them grow into their own unique self. Outside of the center she enjoys traveling, reading, exercise, cooking, and spending time with family & loved ones all while pursuing a bachelors degree of science in early childhood education.

Miss Dori Toddler Teacher

Her deep passion for early childhood education and a desire to make a positive impact on the lives of young children got her starting in childcare about 4 years ago. She enjoys all age groups but if she had to pick a favorite it would be the toddlers. Seeing the children so happy to see her when she arrives continues to give her inspiration and reminds her that being able to create a positive and nurturing environment where children feel safe and encouraged to explore their interests is deeply fulfilling and one of her favorite things about child care. She hopes to become a teacher and continue to support and guide each child’s growth ensuring they have a strong foundation for their future education and personal development. Outside the center she enjoys spending time with family, painting, and going for walks.

Mrs. Cathy C (Momo) Pre 3's Teacher

Has been in childcare for over 40 years during which she received her CDA. Her love of children and the joy of seeing them learn and grow keeps her motivated. She has taught in every class room but if she was forced to pick favorites it would be 3’s. Outside of the center she enjoys fishing, going to estate/garage sales, and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Mrs. Debbie 2's Teacher

Her sister inspired her to work in child care 20 years ago, and she continues to be inspired by knowing she is making a difference in the kids’ lives. Especially when former kids come back as teens and adults telling her how much they loved her. Outside the center she enjoys hanging out with her grand kids and going to the lake.

Mrs. Cathy D 3's Teacher

Wanting to be a teacher from an early age and loving being around children she has been in childcare her entire life. She has obtained her Certificate of Mastery and worked as a pre-k teacher but her favorite age group is the 3’s. She loves seeing them grow and loves it when their eyes light up when they finally understand what you have been teaching them. Outside the center she enjoys doodling, walking her dog, and bird watching.

Miss Summer Toddler Teacher

Wanting to make a positive difference in young lives is what motivated her 7 years ago to go into child care with a long-term goal of becoming a teacher. Toddlers is one of her favorite groups. Watching the kids grow, learn, and develop new skills each day, seeing the little “aha” moments when a concept finally clicks with them provides her inspiration and is one of her favorite things about child care. Outside of the center she enjoys spending time with her daughter, good friends and family, and going to parks and enjoying the nature.

Miss Mickayla Pre-K Master Teacher

Pre-K is her favorite age group, so it makes perfect sense that she is one of our Pre-K teachers. When Mickayla was in second grade her wonderful second grade teacher made a significant impact on her life that inspired her to pursue a career in child care. She has been in child care for six years now, and has a certificate of Mastery along with her directors certificate of completion. One of her favorite things about child care is watching the children’s joy and creativity they bring into the classroom. One of her more memorable experiences was when she had an autistic child in her class, it was very rewarding to be a part of her growth process with every small success and happy moments reminding Mickayla why she chose this career. It’s easy to see why she hopes to one day own her own child care center. Outside the center Mickayla enjoys spending time with her children and taking them on adventures.

Ms. Allanna Assistant Director

Always wanting to help people she started in childcare over 25 years ago. She spent 2 of those years as a nanny for one of our military members who was deployed to Iraq and fortunately for us Allanna is now at our center. She has her Certificate of Mastery and Directors certificate. Every age group gives her daily inspiration as she says this is not “baby sitting” we are teaching the young minds and while they don’t realize they are learning all the hugs, giggles, genuine love the children have, and seeing their face when they learn something new is some of her favorite things. Outside of the center she enjoys her plants, watching movies, painting, doing puzzles, listening to her record player, and being with family.

Mrs. Aidyn Floater

Has been in childcare for three years, she has always had a passion for working with kids. Her favorite age is the 2 & 3 year olds. She is continually inspired seeing the kids in her class grow, learn, and overcome each milestone. One of her favorite things about child care is “every day is different.” Her long-term goal is to continue her education to get her degree. Outside of work she enjoys spending time with her family.

Mrs. Yaritza Cook

Has about two years in childcare that started with teaching toddlers as this is her favorite age group. Some of her favorite things are watching the kids learn, show independence, and when the kids call her name, run up to show her their love. Her love for kids and cooking has made an easy transition to the cook position, but her long term goal is to go back to school. Outside of work she enjoys taking walks and cooking for her family.

Miss Javia Floater

Her love of kids is what started her in childcare four years ago. She loves watching the kids grow and play with each other and learn new things that they haven’t done before. She enjoys all ages infant thru Pre-K and has a long-term goal of becoming a teacher and a nurse. Outside the center she enjoys gaming and spending time with family.

Here at Brooktowne Peoria Child Care, we will use our ever growing skills and knowledge mixed with a warm unconditional love to assess each child's individual strengths and weaknesses so that we may enhance the future of each child physically, scholastically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.
